Gary W. from Stone Mountain, GAI bought the Cold Steel Heavy Machete after reading several other reviews and have not been disapointed. I bought it to clean out brush and scrub trees after my long-bladed Ontario Machete proved to be far too light to do a proper job. The extra weight at the end of the blade means that the machete and not me is doing most of the work. I've had to sharpen it once, but that is perfectly acceptable considering what I was asking it to do. Do put a wrist cord through the end of the handle to keep it from getting away.
