It works great for making yogurt also. Marshall B. from St. Louis, MOThis item has the features I needed, and is easy to use. Setting a target temperature is quick and easy. The cable on the probe is long enough to reach to the back of a normal oven. I especially like the magnet on the back so that the unit can be stuck to the oven door when in use, and on the refrigerator when not in use. This is accurate enough for baking where accuracy is critical, and is one of the most accurate units you will find for under $100.
