This is my first electric kettle. Up to now I have been using an ordinary tea kettle for the gas stove that whistles when the water is boiling. This electric kettle is so much better, it is noiseless and cuts itself off once the water is boiling. The Chef's Choice Kettle is furthermore a very attractive addition to my kitchen counter with its sleek design. I also like the fact that there are no visible heating elements in the inside of the kettleas in other models.

I am very happy with the product, so happy that I have purchased two. The first one I made the mistake of putting on the stove to heat absent mindedly. Of course, it was destroyed by the time I smelled melting plastic parts. So now I keep the replacement far away from the stove so I won't make the same mistake.
