Item Title: Schoenhut Traditional Spinet, 25 Key Piano, Mahogany and black
Played at Carnegie Hall by internationally acclaimed concert pianist Margaret Leng Tan, Schoenhut's Traditional Spinet is a musical instrument of highest quality. Publicized in the New York Times, this is the only toy piano ever played at Carnegie Hall. Certain to enhance your child's love of music with its endearing melodic tones.

Chromatically tuned, the lovely chime-like notes are produced by little hammers striking precision-ground, German steel music rods (versus the conventional taut wires used in full-sized models).

Schoenhut's patented Learning System, with its play-by-color teaching method, makes playing simple and fun. A removable color strip fits behind the keys to guide small fingers from chord to chord. The chart also works on adult keyboards, since keys on Schoenhut toy pianos are of corresponding width. This teaches children proper "finger stretch" from the very beginning. The accompanying Songbook contains a collection of familiar tunes. This Learning System has been specially designed to build a child's confidence and develop basic playing skills.

Schoenhut: A Brand You Trust
Schoenhut
Our initial introduction to Schoenhut® toy pianos was a case of love at first sight. Since 1996 when we joined forces with Len's brother Frank Trinca in the operation of Schoenhut Piano Company, the thrill of designing, manufacturing, and marketing these precious little instruments has not wavered. We traveled back and forth for five years between our home in St. Augustine, Florida and the Schoenhut factory in Rochester, New York. When a spacious warehouse facility in St. Augustine became available, after much discussion the three of us agreed to relocate the business. Frank would serve as a consultant and help at trade shows, while we would concentrate on expanding the business.

Along with many of Albert Schoenhut's original designs, we began offering new styles and colors each year. All prototypes are designed and hand-built by Len. Recently introduced are Piano Pals that "grow with your child," as well as mid-sized 49-key stringed pianos. The stringed pianos incorporate perfect pitch and true piano sound, the only piano of its kind in the world. We also have a patent pending on another revolutionary, state-of-the-art toy piano.

Although Albert designed musical instruments with children in mind, we were delighted to discover that many professional musicians regard Schoenhut toy pianos as serious concert instruments. John Cage started the ball rolling in 1948 when he composed "Suite for Toy Piano." Since then, interest has skyrocketed. This trend gives a new perspective about Schoenhut and attests to the high quality of our products.

For several years, a staff of craftsmen (numbering 20 to 36, depending on the season) hand-built all Schoenhut toy pianos and other musical products at our factory in Florida. As the business grew, so did our exposure. Competitors began manufacturing slightly altered copies of Schoenhut toy pianos in China. Unfortunately, the majority of retailers demanded "lower costs" over "made in the USA." To stay in business and remain competitive, most Schoenhut toy pianos are now manufactured at our facilities overseas. Many Schoenhut products are still made here in the USA, such as thumb pianos, psalteries, and harps, with other musical instruments soon to follow.

Our promise to you is 100% customer satisfaction. We are proud of Schoenhut's reputation for safe toys and high quality products, trademarks of the company since 1872.

It is extremely rewarding to provide musical instruments for relaxation and entertainment. We have met thousands of interesting people at trade shows, concerts, media events, and during tours of our factory. There is always a new story ... for example, a pet learning to play a toy piano, details of how a child's introduction to music later resulted in a successful career, or pictures of vintage Schoenhut pianos that have been in families for over a century. We love hearing when a special needs child is inspired by one of our musical instruments. Nothing makes us happier than finding a good home for a Schoenhut toy. As we tell anyone who has a question about Schoenhut, we are just a phone call or email away.

It is just what we wanted. It is well built, sounds great and our 1 and 1/2 year old loves it! Your customer service is excellent. The one of the keys went out of tune and we had problems assembling the bench. I got a live customer service rep person on the phone immediately who was extremely friendly and helpful. She immediately sent an email with instructions on how to tune the piano and said a new bench would be sent right away. The bench didn't arrive for over a month, but when it did it was already fully assembled. I can't say enough about the wonderful customer service.

This purchase was a Christmas gift for my 2-yr old nephew. He loves to create his "own kind of music". He asks us for something to sing about like cars or dogs and he plays along. It's a lot of fun for him and the family!

We as a whole family (mom, dad, son 17 months) LOVE the piano. It's a beautiful piece of furniture and my son loves the sound it produces. It gets attention as soon as friends and family see it. It keeps his attention and is building his love of music

Checked all websites and this was the cheapest price total for the item and shipping. My granddaughter is 2 and loves her new piano. It is very well made, and solid. My 9 yr. old can sit on the stool and play. I would recommend this product to anyone interested in something that will last and you can pass on for generations.

I bought this piano for my granddaughter for Christmas. I haven't let her have it yet but the quality is great and the keys play great music. I can't wait for Christmas, I know she will love it. It came with the cutest little stool that is the perfect size for her.

This little piano is just wonderful! It was a gift for my grandson's first birthday. He absolutely loves music, and dances to anything and everything and sings "lalala" at the same time. It was amazing to watch him put his little hands on his Mom's hands as she played a song for him, then try to imitate her and reach for her hands again. He carefully plays with the keys and shows us the white and the black and in his own gibberish makes us understand they are "different" by "playing" songs for us on each. It is the first thing he toddles toward every morning. We had to take the little stool away, however, as even though we never leave him alone in any room except when he is in his crib for a second, he's quick as a flash and tries to use it to "escape" the living room by climbing on the stool and over the baby gate. He does not mind standing and playing at all. A friend, who is a professional musician and teacher, told us the piano has very good sound for the size and price and will be a good transition piece for him when his Mom starts teaching him to play her piano. Thank you for offering such an affordable, enjoyable and educational toy for our children.

The quality of the piano is much better than I seen in any store locally and it even has a comparable tone to a larger scale piano. Shipping was no problem we recieved it within 7 days, very nicely wrapped so it would not be scratched. Thank you!!!

My one-year-old granddaughter loved it! We have a priceless video of her playing the piano, dancing, and "playing Jerry Lee Lewis" for her birthday crowd (mostly grandparents and family). Wanna see it?

Our nearly 1 year old grandson had taken to crawling constantly to our large piano and reaching up to play. Then, when we sat him in our laps to touch the keys better, he loved it. This piano seemed like the perfect 1st birthday gift and has given him many days of enjoyment. The quality is outstanding! It is deemed for ages 3 and up, but it's never too early to learn,is it?
